For consumers
No. Efexsys is a payment services provider used by utilities and local governments to process payments. Your utility or municipality remains responsible for your account and bill.
Efexsys processes payments on behalf of utilities and local governments.
If you recently paid a utility or municipal bill, Efexsys may appear on your statement in connection with that transaction, and a separate service fee may appear under “Efexsys Utility Svc Fee” depending on the payment arrangement your utility uses.
Some organizations use a payment model in which a separate service or processing fee applies to certain transactions.
When applicable, that fee may appear separately from your utility payment and may include Efexsys in the statement description.
First, compare the transaction date and amount with any recent utility or municipal payments.
If you still cannot identify it, contact Efexsys and provide the date, amount, and any organization you may have recently paid.
Do not submit your complete card information or bank account number through any online form.
Depending on the payment arrangement used by your utility or municipality, your bill payment and an associated processing or service fee may appear as separate transactions.
